We are making available an IPO dataset created by Paul Gompers and Josh Lerner (both at the Harvard Business School). The dataset includes the universe of firm-commitment IPOs in the United States from 1935 to 1972 and their returns measured for up to five years after listing. The total number of IPO companies in the sample is 4,320. This dataset is in a CSV file. Click here for more information about the IPO database and the list of variables available.
